    |Ω|Procedure to Apply for Birth & Death Certificate through Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD)|Ω|
    The citizens of Delhi can now obtain Birth & Death Certificates (जन्म और मृत्यु प्रमाण पत्र) from the official web portal of Municipal Corporation of Delhi. Certificates can be obtained within 7 days from the date of submission of application, along with a requisite fee (अपेक्षित शुल्क). As we know that Birth & Death Certificate is a major document of the people of India. It is an only proof of the people’s birth and death proof. In India, it is mandatory to register every birth and death with concerned State Government/Union Territory Administration (राज्य सरकार/संघ राज्य प्रशासन) within 21 days of its occurrence, under the law as per the “Registration of Birth & Death Act, 1969”.

    ©»» How to Apply for Birth & Death Certificate through Nagar Nigam Delhi: -
    To apply for a Birth or Death Certificate, the applicant must register it with concerned local authorities (संबंधित स्थानीय अधिकारियों) within 21 days of its occurrence. Applications must be submitted in prescribed format. Normally, the hospitals or dispensaries where the birth or death takes place maintain a register and the same is sent to the local bodies i.e. Municipalities Authority or Mandal Revenue Office (नगरपालिका प्राधिकरण या मंडल राजस्व कार्यालय) at regular intervals. Once it reaches to concerned authority, the applicant needs to visit the office and collect the acknowledgment slip (स्वीकृति पर्ची) which has mentioned the registration number. In case the birth/death occurs in a house then it can be reported and registered by the Head of the family or ward member of the area. After that, visit the official website of MCD through the given link and then do the following procedure.
    1. |After getting the online portal of MCD, select the concerned municipal corporation jurisdiction (नगर निगम के अधिकार क्षेत्र) among of North DMC, South DMC, or East DMC and then click on it.
    2. |Next, click the option of “Registration of Birth & Death” (जन्म और मृत्यु का पंजीकरण). Then after, these options will appear respectively- Birth & Death Registrations by Empanelled Institutions, Application Status, Verify Birth or Death Details, and Online Birth & Death Certificate.
    3. |Please click the appropriate option which you're required to obtain (Birth or Death Certificate).
    4. |Then after, tick one appropriate option between ‘Search by Registration Number’ or ‘Search without Registration Number’.
    5. |After choosing the appropriate option (उपयुक्त विकल्प), enter the asked details like Date of Birth/Death, Gender, Mother’s/Father’s Name etc and then hit the ‘Submit’ button to know the details.

    only visa maestro card use not accepted rupees or net banking for the fees payment to get the certificate.
